Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi

  • Distance: 205 km | Travel Time: Approx. 8 hours
  • Begin your journey from Haridwar in the morning, heading towards Guptkashi, a beautiful town located in the Garhwal Himalayas.
  • En route, enjoy the scenic views of the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. You will pass through Devprayag and Rudraprayag, the confluence points of rivers.
  • Arrive at Guptkashi in the evening and check-in at your hotel.
  • Relax and enjoy a wholesome dinner.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Guptkashi.

Day 2: Guptkashi to Gaurikund (Drive) → Kedarnath (Trek)

  • Drive: 30 km (2 hours) | Trek: 17 km (one way)
  • Start early at 5:30 AM and drive to Sonprayag (private vehicles allowed till this point). Hire a local/shared vehicle to reach Gaurikund.
  • Begin the trek to Kedarnath through well-paved zigzag trails. (Pony/Doli services are available for hire.)
  • Reach Kedarnath Temple and check into your camp/hotel. Freshen up and rest.
  • Visit Kedarnath Temple to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Pay homage to the Nandi Bull and attend the serene evening Aarti.
  • Explore the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, a significant site located behind the temple.
  • Overnight stay at a camp/hotel in Kedarnath.

Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (Trek & Drive)

  • Wake up early to participate in the morning Aarti and Abhishek Pooja at Kedarnath Temple.
  • After seeking blessings, trek back to Gaurikund following the same route.
  • Drive back to Guptkashi from Gaurikund.
  • Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax after the long trek.

Day 4: Guptkashi to Haridwar (via Rishikesh)

  • Distance: 200 km | Travel Time: Approx. 7-8 hours
  • After breakfast, depart from Guptkashi and drive towards Haridwar.
  • En route, take a short break in Rishikesh to explore the famous landmarks like Ram JhulaLaxman Jhula, and the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.
